 Missions and Evangelism Psalm 67 "God be gracious to us and bless us, and cause His face to shine upon us - that Your way may be known on the earth, Your salvation among all nations. Operation Above & Beyond - This is a local outreach effort of First Baptist Lanett where our initial phase is to go door to door throughout the city and invite people to come to church. Also, we have a team of people who are praying for our community while the other teams are out walking the streets. New Orleans - The city of New Orleans is near and dear to the heart of our church since our pastor and his family came to Lanett from New Orleans with an unexpected stop in Georgia due to Hurricane Katrina. We actively participate through youth trips and other means in Operation NOAH Rebuild, which is an effort put forth by the North American Mission Board in conjunction with Louisiana Baptists, that involves building houses for residents within the city and other ways to reach the people of New Orleans with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
Mexico - A team from our church has gone each of the last two Decembers to help a sister church in Reynosa, Mexico (across the border from McAllen, Texas) where they have helped to build a new facility for the church as well as assist in other areas of ministry. The Ends of the Earth - We have several missionary families that are directly connected with our church family, whom we support and pray for regularly. Our church prays for unreached people groups around the world and hopes to eventually adopt one of these groups so that they too will hear and know the truth of the Gospel.
